Look at the internet for a moment. What do you see absolutely everywhere? Cats. Cat pictures, cat memes, cat everything! And for good reason. Cats have taken over humanity's hearts, and it's true not just for today. Cats have been lovable menaces all throughout history. And do you know how we know that? Because people have been whipped for cats for so long that there are too many cat painting to keep count of.
We have seen some hilarious cat paintings over our time on the internet. We have seen everything from paintings of cats destroying stuff throughout the centuries, to still life paintings of cats stealing food throughout history, all the way to - yes, believe it or not - paintings of people spoon-feeding cats like babies. And today, because of this amazing twitter thread, we got to see some of the most bizarre and hissterical cat paintings we have come across yet.
We look at these bizarre paintings, and more than anything, we wonder what they're supposed to mean. This one… looks pretty heckin' clear to us. Obviously, this is meant to be a representation of a cat doing zoomies. No cat owner can argue against the statement that when cats zoom, it certainly looks like they have a rocket attached to their booties.
Now, this one… we're a bit more confused about. Is it meant to represent us, cat ladies? Is it meant to represent how our cats own everything we have- even our clothes? Considering what we know about Japanese art and octopuses, we kinda don't want to think about what that might imply. Lots of options. Fascinating stuff. WTH.
