Idiots can become a huge problem in the workplace when the "Peter Principle" takes effect and elevates them into positions they should never have held in the first place. From their positions of authority, they wreak havoc with their wider-reaching idiocy, making ill-advised decisions and unleashing their stupid wrath on competent workers. Luckily, that same double-edged sword of dimwitted confidence that got them in the position in the first place can also be their downfall; all it takes is the right opportunity for them to fully expose themselves as the numpty that they are.
This chance presented itself when the coworker, Mr. Idiot, was caught crawling in a compactor and didn't appreciate being told off by a shocked worker. After some demeaning comments, he demanded to talk to her manager so that he could teach her some manners.
Of course, the manager wasn't stoked to hear that Mr. Idiot, by his own admission, had been crawling around inside a compactor—a grievous health and safety violation. This led to Mr. Idiot having the fine opportunity to pack up his desk.
