Truffles the Adorable Rescue Cat Has Her Own Tiny Glasses and Teaches Kids Not to be Afraid of Optometry

Cats are typically pretty intolerant of things that inconvenience them in any way. If you pet your cat too strongly, they leave. If you don't stir their wet food just right, they ignore it. If you forget to leave the tap water running so it drips two drops per second in the bathroom, they meow endlessly until they're comfortable. One tuxedo cat named Truffles, a long haired rescue kitty, has proven cat stereotypes wrong by being the most tolerant and peaceful cat known to man. In fact, Truffles is so chill, she is even employed for her services to one local optometrist.

That's right, Truffles is such a chiller that she wears glasses and doesn't even try to wiggle out of them. 

Not only is Truffles the most mellow feline on Earth, but because she is so willing to allow her hoomans to put people-clothes on her face, she's become the purrrrfect ambassador for their children's optometry clinic. Oftentimes, kids get a little bit scared of doctor's visits or of any type of invasive medical procedure. With Truffles around, the goofiest black and white kitty with glasses, the kids don't seem to be as worried about their vision appointments. 

This emotional support kitty makes it easier for kids to understand the importance of their glasses or even protective eye patches after having optometry surgery or getting their vision checked. For a wily 6 year old who's afraid of a spooky medical machine approaching their face, it's reassuring to have a furry friend next to you to help you get through the exam. 

If Truffles can be brave in the optometrists office, so can the kids. She even began unofficial employement with the optometrists, appearing in a series of videos teaching children about what eye exams are like, where to put your glasses when they're not on your face, and how to properly wear your new glasses day-to-day. Kids are encouraged by their kitty comrade and it helps to have an animal around to help ease the woes of visiting the doctor. Truffles might be the most wholesome cat you see today. 

Sometimes the office will even send out encouraging letters on behalf of Truffles so that kids remember to take care of their eyes wherever they may be,
