When you're in charge, it's important that you lead by example, setting the tone for how others should behave, conduct themselves, and work towards the business's goals. At this point, you're probably picturing a stoic, strong, silent, and hardworking; those are the qualities that society has taught us a leader should possess. But the reality is that a lot of "leaders" are lazy, petty, vitriolic, and prone to emotional outbursts. They're not in charge because they're a knight in shining armor and possess traits greater than the common man; they're in charge because they were willing to go where others wouldn't and shouldn't, taking advantage of the good faith of others, accounting loopholes, and legal grey areas.

These “leaders” will tell you that “It's just business." when they screw you over but take it personally as a slight against their ego when you quit your job. They want to have, and even like, having power and control over you — so exercising your free will to quit is exceptionally triggering for them.
This boss is one of those leaders, lashing out at the remaining team after employees quit due to poor treatment and working conditions. The ironic thing here is that it's this idiot's immature behavior that led the original workers to quit. That same idiot's reaction to those resignations has caused the remaining demoralized workers to see the light as well.
