If bosting to underpaid workers isn't a good look, boasting about profits and following up that conversation by asking someone to do unpaid work for you is downright insane.
That's what this job seeker experienced while they were interviewing for a part-time job. The posting looked “professional and good,” and the manager “boasted about making lots of profits” in both the phone interview and the follow-up in-person interview. But, after they finished a 2-hour in-person interview, they were told that this was to be a “volunteer” position.
Upset and embarrassed, they shared their experience to Reddit's r/recruitinghell subreddit, where readers commiserated with them and shared advice.
