There are ways to inspire people, but this is not it! After realizing that none of his coworkers received a raise in years (in one case, over six years!), this employee found himself on a company-wide call in which his VP decided to make the kind of rousing speech that should boost morale.
Well, if that was the goal, it would be an understatement to say it was less than successful. The VP decided to demand that all employees should be prepared to work way more than 40 hours a week. Clearly, any current cultural conversations of work-life balance were not on this dude's mind. And if they were, he decided to go in the exact opposite direction. Not the wisest choice in this day and age, and yet, that's what he went with.
