Font - OPINION r/unpopularopinion. Posted by u/Andire 6 days ago "Me thinks" is the cringiest, most neck-bearded phrase since "M'lady" When I see this sh, no matter what you say, what your message is, or what your argument is, it doesn't matter. Cuz I now have 0 respect for you. I can only think of people that are real life representations of comic book guy from The Simpsons that would say this and think it was cool, or gave their comment some kind of clever edge... Edit: I guess I've found what

Font - UNPOPULAR OPINION r/unpopularopinion Posted by u/Minnieb3ast 4 days ago 2 I Dont know if i am getting old or if slang is just starting to sound dumber and dumber every year. my latest peave is the word "Rizz" which is like an equivalent to "smooth" in some sense, not used the same in the same way, but i get smooth or slick they sound nice. But wtf is "Rizz" i looked into it to see how it started and is it really worth becoming slang, but as far as i can tell it was literally an invention

Posted by u/redynair1 5 days ago 2 Console video games should have the Y axis control inverted by default I'm tired of having to IMMEDIATELY inverse the Y axis control settings when I start a new game. You pull back to go up. How is this not the default? And it's even the case in games where you would think it's obvious. Thank goodness for the games that work a "test" into the beginning/training/tutorial. It automatically figures it out. It's great.

Font - UNPOPULAR OPINION r/unpopularopinion Posted by u/Jugurrtha 6 days ago It's rude and disrespectful to take photos and videos in public places and share them online without respecting the wishes of others to avoid being captured on camera. it's really uncomfortable when you see someone, even if they unintentionally include you in their images/videos for social media, so you eventually end up on tiktok and Instagram, and so on... 2

Font - UNPOPULAR OPINION © r/unpopularopinion Posted by u/tonyphony2578 4 days ago People who are constantly traveling for leisure are typically not that fun to hang out with I have friends who are constantly traveling and when I do hang out with them they always have that " what's the next move" mindset. They never actually seem present. If I go grab a beer with them it always has to be "where we going next". Anything we do has to have something added on to it no matter if it's too late or just

Font - UNPOPULAR OPINION r/unpopularopinion Posted by u/Improvement No5096 22 days ago You don't get to have a "strong opinion" on stuff you are not educated on or have absolutely no knowledge on. I can't be the only one who feels this way, right? I mean, I get that everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but shouldn't an opinion come from at least some sort of understanding and knowledge on the subject you are having an opinion on/about? 3

Font - UNPOPULAR OPINION r/unpopularopinion Posted by u/Bestow5000 3 days ago Buying a millionaire's success book is a waste of money and you should stop it Let's face the reality, the ultra rich won't share their secret to the rest of the world. It's for themselves to keep. They'll tell you the same cookie cutter nonsense you've heard before from others. All you're doing is lining up their already fat pockets with more money while you haven't gotten any richer reading their books.

Font - UNPOPULAR OPINION r/unpopularopinion Posted by u/PM_ME_MARXIST_MEME 7 days ago 3 There is absolutely no reason to use the word 'utilize' when the word 'use' exists. And it's born from the misconception that lengthening and Latinizing the word 'use' by adding a suffix makes you sounds smarter. It doesn't. The best writing is often the most brief.

Font - UNPOPULAR OPINION r/unpopularopinion Posted by u/NikTheDork 7 days ago I'd rather work 2 days, 15 hours each, then 5 days a week. 2 Since it's not healthy or popular to work 15 hours a day, the results would be negative. Not enough sleep, lack of leisure or down time-all these would be negative impacts of trying to do this. Also, the pay would only be for 30 hours. The positive aspect of working 2 days a week is that you can enjoy the rest of the week off to do other things. So in the end

Font - UNPOPULAR OPINION › r/unpopularopinion. Posted by u/jamesnearn 5 days ago Closed captioning provides a better experience and should be used by default in movie theaters • The most obvious benefit is it makes participation easier for the hearing impaired. • They reduce movie interruptions from those around you saying "what did he say?" therefore CC offers confirmation of what my ears are hearing. 2

Font - • Being able to read words allows the volume to not have to be blasting loud. • When an actor is speaking in another language, CC often shows the English interpretation. Therefore it can be argued that they provide MORE information. • Ever been in a restaurant, dentist/doctor office, gym, or airport and see something interesting but the volume is down so you can't hear it? Closed captioning to the rescue!

Posted by u/riri1281 22 hours ago Crying During An Argument Is Not Automatically Manipulative UNPOPULAR OPINION 2 Short Post: A lot of people see crying as a manipulation tactic when people are in an argument with each other. I cry when I'm angry or frustrated because the emotions are very strong; I hate crying in front of people but sometimes it just happens. It's really invalidating to be accused of trying to twist a matter because some saline came hot of my eyes!

Font - UNPOPULAR OPINION r/unpopularopinion · Posted by u/mazterofpupetz 7 days ago Pedestrians in parking lots are entitled and careless. Every time I drive through a parking lot there are always mindless people that just walk into the lanes of vehicles as cars are approaching without any hesitation. They seem to have complete faith that the vehicle approaching them will halt immediately as they enter the driving lane. If the driver doesn't slam on the brakes because the pedestrian enters the l

Font - UNPOPULAR OPINION r/unpopularopinion Posted by u/cheffy3369 2 days ago Sometimes taking the moral "high ground" is not always the best choice and you can actually obtain a better outcome by bringing yourself "down to their level" and acting accordingly You always seem to hear people say something along the lines of "you should always take the moral high ground"
  • 18
Font - Look I get it, in a perfect world we should all try to take the high ground when dealing with interpersonal conflicts, but the thing is, this world is far from perfect! As well, from what I have seen, taking the high ground often achieves the same, or similar results to effectively being a doormat. I mean, there is a reason the saying "fight fire with fire" exists, right? In fact, a lot of sl y people out there expect others to take the moral high ground and just end up exploiting those p

Font - UNPOPULAR OPINION r/unpopularopinion. Posted by u/MsEvil_Doctor_Potter 21 days ago 4 The world starts too early I get that generally humans naturally wake up when the sun comes up, between 7-9. So I get why people wake up at that time. But why does anything in the world that isn't governed by the sun (like farming or fishing) happen before 11am. Like school and work. We could choose to all sleep in every day, but as a society we have actively chosen to start our day stupidly early. I bet

Font - Why is anyone who works at a desk waking up before 8am to just answer emails and type up reports or whatever those people do. Why do we make 13 year old wake up at 6am to start learning stuff at 9am or earlier. Maybe I'm just lazy. But I don't think anything should happen before 11, if doesn't have to and isn't governed by the sun. Things should stay open later as well. Our whole schedule as a society should shift forward a hours

Posted by u/PoppaSmurf23 28 days ago Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) is one of the most overrated movies since Crash (2004) I've seen this opinion here before but this movie continues to get nominations and awards. I don't get it. It's different. It's weird. Very chaotic. None of the characters resonated with me.

Font - OPINION r/unpopularopinion Posted by u/rumours423 10 days ago A lot of the burnout in modern day white collar jobs is not from being overworked but from suppressing one's authentic self to conform with the culture 2 I'm not saying that there's a good chunk of people who not overworked to the end of their capacity but I've noticed days where I've had to work not more than 4-5 hours and I'd still end up feeling exhausted at the end of the day. I could attribute the exhaustion only to the di

Font - USPEFULAR OPINION r/unpopularopinion Posted by u/bakesquad5 21 days ago Being a quiet and not so outgoing person is not a bad thing, or something to "fix" I'm tired of society considering quiet people as people who have to "come out of their shell" or "be encouraged to talk more". No. Just as there are very expressive, talkative and outgoing people, there are people who are the opposite of that, and there's nothing wrong with it. It's not a problem that needs to be solved, it's just a per

They're supposed to be easy. Even long-term. And I'm not talking about important life decisions like financials and having children. Building a life together is work, sure. Go to a 4 year instead." And that's not true at all. I definitely am not the type o

Font - Community college is a great resource that should be utilized more often and I think it's a bad decision to attend a 4 year college 1. For its name 2. If you don't know what you want to do 3. If you're going just because that's the next step in education or 4. If you're going so you don't disappoint people. Edit: I realize this may be unpopular to the majority since a lot of you share my sentiments. I'm sorry for posting it in here. It's just not very common in my town and I knew a lot of
