Internships are designed to teach you about the career you're going into, which is perfect for college students and people who are early in their careers. It's supposed to help you gain connections and real-world experience. But in so many cases, interns spend a few months in an office setting grabbing coffees or printing papers all day long, without really experiencing the actual job. Or they might experience the worst parts of the role, since the stuff no one else wants to do become the interns' activity for the day.
