Font - Hello all. I (24F) used to work for my ex boss (35F) for about 4 years. Over the years working for her I helped her out a ton. I was her right hand for everything. I worked and overworked myself and she did show me a lot of recognition which was nice. I got a promotion to manager and things were looking up. She paid me pretty good, (or so I thought) and I was content.

Font - During year 4 of my employment I started to notice she was becoming increasingly greedy especially with the money other coworkers were earning. We earned money based on commission. Except for front desk workers, they got paid hourly. She was starting to "forget" to submit payroll and would blame her accountant... Then, she would pay us by regular checks, which was an issue because we didn't know how the money had been calculated.

Font - Many times I noticed my paychecks were short. I would do the math and inquire with her. She would always blame the accountant, I then would ask to speak with her accountant. She would always give some fake excuse on why we couldn't contact her accountant. Whatever. One of the last times that really rubbed me wrong, she owed me like $2k and said that it had been split between two payroll periods. When it didn't add up I asked

I thought the least she would do was give me a bouquet of flowers on my last day of work because I had been her longest standing employee of all time.

Font - Fast forward to now, 1.5 years later, her business is officially shutting down at the end of this month. And now she's crawling back, wanting to friend me on any and every social media platform you can think of. I have no interest in being her friend. She can kindly fick off.

Font - Edit** I must add that I did in fact get my money back. She got reported to the labor board and that's why all her employees are now asking ME for employment. She gave them a 30 day notice of the company shutting down. That is my revenge. Leaving, getting successful on my own, and now her workers are coming to work for me. And sounds like she may want to work for me but I don't trust her at all. There's a lot more that went on behind closed doors. Basically, I knew tooooooo much. She thou

Font - winky109 15 hr. ago. edited 15 hr. ago Sounds like her business was in trouble long before you left... she was trying to save money wherever she could. Not the right way by any means. I am happy you are doing well after leaving that job 86 Reply Share

Font - RJack151 +3 - 18 hr. ago If she was the sole owner of the company, feel free to contact the Labor board in your area. They might be able to fine her and go after any assets she has. Reply Share 469 earthchild 98 OP 18 hr. ago - From my knowledge her husband (I think now ex husband) was co-owner but he's also a very sketchy man so idk. They had a tumultuous relationship ship and I think he's a part of why her business failed so miserably. 210 Reply Share

If they go over the books, you stand a chance of being made whole. 192 Reply Share _indubitable 14 hr. ago This sounds very much like the law firm I used to work for.. except there's an ongoing law suit against her company, and the Bar is investigating her as well. I recommend talking to an Employment lawyer. Reply Share 33
