However, it's even harder when one partner is messier than the other. The author of this AITA says that his partner stuffs his dirty socks in the couch instead of picking them up. Yuck! After years of telling him to put them away, he decided to take some action.
He trained his dogs to play tug-of-war with his partner's dirty socks, which the partner thought was funny, until one day a pair of socks finally bit the dust. This is extremely passive-aggressive and petty, but we love it. We would probably do the same thing. After years of telling them to do otherwise, they clearly weren't going to change. Maybe they learned their lesson now?
