Living with a partner can be tough. You have to manage a space between two people (and in this case, also two dogs) and learn to live together in harmony. However, it's even harder when one partner is messier than the other. The author of this AITA says that his partner stuffs his dirty socks in the couch instead of picking them up. Yuck! After years of telling him to put them away, he decided to take some action.

He trained his dogs to play tug-of-war with his partner's dirty socks, which the partner thought was funny, until one day a pair of socks finally bit the dust. He stormed off, accusing the author of not stopping them and blaming him for ruining his favorite dirty, smelly socks. It's all fun and games until your favorite socks bite the dust, isn't it?

    Font - Over the last few weeks, I have bought multiple cloth dog toys resembling his socks and have trained my dogs to play tug of war with them. They will now dive for them whenever he's laying on the couch and places them on the ground to "pick up later." I also do not stop them from playing with the socks anymore.     This is extremely passive-aggressive and petty, but we love it. We would probably do the same thing. After years of telling them to do otherwise, they clearly weren't going to change. Maybe they learned their lesson now?

Provided your dogs are not the kind to eat stuff they tear up (obstruction surgery is no joke) NTA.

    Font - Like, I also had to teach my wife how to run the dishwasher, because she grew up in a home where her mother insisted on doing EVERYTHING for her (like, this woman would come and try to change her sheets when we were in college). But once I showed her? She fucking DOES IT. She does the things she needed to learn to do because she is an ADULT and we are both living in this house.
