I remember the first time I watched Jesse Plemons on a screen. The red-headed Texan was aptly starring in the television adaptation of Friday Night Lights, which remains one of my favorite series of all time. There's just something about melodramatic sports media that resonates with me deeply. While the character he portrayed, Landry Clark, wasn't even close to being a stud like Tim Riggins or Coach Eric Taylor (sue me), his acting was brilliant.
Thanks to his very obvious skill, Jesse Plemons has come a long way professionally since Friday Night Lights. He was a highlight of Game Night, phenomenal in Fargo and Black Mirror, and is now starring opposite Elizabeth Olsen in Love and Death. He's also married to Kirsten Dunst. Basically, the dude has made it. But that's not gonna stop haters from hating, and this past week, user @Bizlet7 decided to do just that. But Plemons' fans weren't having it.
After @Bizlet7 suggested that our boy Jesse Plemons must have some sort of blackmail on Hollywood executives to be repeatedly cast in prestige television series, the people of Twitter jumped to his defense, touting his talents and admirable behavior on set. We love to see it.
