'A literal fistfight almost broke out': Man puts a $31 lien on his HOA president's $20 million dollar mansion as petty revenge, preventing him from selling it until his 'debt' is paid

HOA's are a pain in the rear. The idea of an HOA is great– have a collection of live-in leaders get together once a month to improve the building and the property they live in– but nowadays they rarely operate like that. In fact, HOA's are so useless that they can't even do simple upkeep without first lining their pockets for profit. One man decided to take a stand against a crummy HOA board by taking the most epic petty revenge of all time.

After months of suffering with the effects of a decaying building, inhabitants that were paying hundreds a month in HOA fees were wondering where their hard earned cash was being put to the test. It certainly wasn't going to fund the broken elevator, broken rooftops, janky AC units, and the empty pool. No no no, that money had other purposes– making the HOA board president even richer.

So after suing his HOA for not providing some documents to prove what they'd spent the HOA fees on (which is a legal requirement), OP had lost $31 in 'attorney fees' to cover filing to sue the HOA. Welp, the HOA president refused to compensate him for that $31 after they lost in court, so OP took revenge into his own hands.
