The job market is not easy these days, ask anybody looking for a job right now. It's no walk in the park. One guy had a comfortable job that paid him a pretty good salary of $78k—however, it wasn't work-from-home and he was getting bored. Then, out of nowhere, he got a job offer from a "fully remote" company that offered him full benefits and a $90k salary. Who would turn that upgrade down, right? He turned to Reddit asking if he should make the change, and every wholeheartedly agreed. So, he quickly accepted the job offer and started right away.
However, he didn't do enough research about this job and quickly found out that it was a total sh*tshow. He has been there for a little over a month now and he has already decided to quit. He has not once been trained on what he is doing, in fact, he has no idea what his official responsibilities are. On top of that, they are starting to retract the fully-WFH promise and are asking him to come to Michigan three weeks out of the month (from Florida) to work in the office. They also plugged him in with an overworked team located in California, which is a completely different timezone than Florida.
Basically, the more money was not worth all this trouble. In fact, he learned the hard way that he should have done extensive research on this position before jumping into it excitedly. Sometimes a job can have all the bells and whistles you're looking for, but if it's not a good company, it's not a good company. You can put a nice dress on a pile of trash, but it will still be a pile of trash. What would you have done? Scroll below to read on and decide for yourself!
