Bad bosses can't have their cake and eat it too! This is a classic example of employers making someone's transition infinitely harder than it needed to be. This thread was posted to Reddit by u/AZNM1912, the father of a young employee who had prepared a letter of resignation for her boss with two weeks' notice.
First, her boss rejected her notice and she was told to leave immediately. Then, they had the audacity to ask if she would still answer questions about her workload to help better facilitate her transition. Thankfully, the employee had the backbone to call them out on such a ridiculous request. We all know that employees giving their notice is quite frankly an act of generosity. They are in no way responsible or obligated to stay. Now, her bosses will have no one to properly train her eventual replacement.
