Font - Race car randy Medium So my restaurant, a popular taco and tequila spot in Michigan, sponsors this guy who drives a racecar. Every two weeks he gets a grand for sponsorship and gets free food.... So, moral question. You get to eat at a restaurant once a week for free. Sometimes multiple times. You bring your family, your friends and you order whatever you want. You interrupt busy business. You bring so many people you need a piece of paper to write the order down. You order

Font - food (entirely too much food) sometimes enough food to make your kids throw up in the restaurant. Your order food, drinks, dessert. You pay nothing then refuse to tip even a dollar. Your orders are larger than ANY...ANY paying customers orders. You expect to be served hand and foot as if your contribution (which consists of a sticker on your race car) keeps the business afloat single handedly.

Font - The guests you bring offer money to tip the staff and you refuse it because you believe yourself to be so much better than the staff at said restaurant.
  • 05
Font - Could you? Could you FREELOAD off of the owner, and the staff and refuse to show any type of monetary appreciation?

Font - It's f-ing offensive. It's downright disgusting....... Most people wouldn't behave like this, most people don't. But there is this guy.........

Font - magiccitybhm. 1 day ago Sounds like the owner/management need to have a conversation with this guy.

Font - Capnmcquacken OP. 1 day ago Oh good point I forgot to add that detail. They did, they told him 30 percent tip if he wants to keep eating for free. He still doesn't tip. They won't do anything about it, so the bar has started doing payouts for the tops he doesn't give to hopefully get mngmts attention.

Font - magiccitybhm. 1 day ago It takes a special kind of incompetency by the owner/manager to 1) paythis guy a sponsorship and 2) give him and his family/friends free food just so he will come in and be a nuisance to the staff.

Font - DeliciousWarthog53. 1 day ago Completely effed up my comment, so let's try this again, lol Sponsorships are tricky things. Some people might come to a place and get something cheap. Or maybe just stop in and talking, get a soda or whatever, and be gone. The important thing to .ske appearances. OK, that's fine.

Font - In this case, I honestly believe that every single server in the establishment needs to go to the owner as one voice and simply tell him, "We aren't doing this anymore with him. We are paid employees, not volunteers, at a soup kitchen. We, as one, refuse to serve this man and his party unless we are guaranteed compensation from this man in the form of x% grat. Until then, none of us will even stop at his table to get him a glass of water. That's all we have to say."

Font - "So, Randy, we've decided to end our sponsorship with you. We strive to promote the spirit of compassion and respect to our community and customers. However, your consistent behavior in our establishment has demonstrated to our staff and management that your attitude does not align with the same ethical and moral values we hold dear. Therefore, going forward, we cannot have you represent our restaurant in any way starting now. We wish you good luck and fortune with all your future endeavo

Font - Juggletrain 22 hr. ago I doubt they could make him pay for food he already started eating, it was free when he ordered it. Otherwise exact.
  • 16
Font - Trackerbait 1 day ago Just cause your food is "free" doesn't mean the staff who made it don't need to get paid. I used to have a lawyer boss who doled out pro bono work when it suited him. You'd better believe he still paid his staff for their time.

Font - Ishkabibbles Mom 1 day ago I have one question - what is Randy's track record? Is is really beneficial for the restaurant to keep sponsoring him? I would have owner/management rethink this arrangement.

Font - Capnmcquacken OP. 19 hr. ago Not to my knowledge no. We're the hottest spot in town, his advertisement if you call it that is next to worthless.

Font - Claque-2 1 day ago Refuse to serve. Smile, be courteous, but wherever he's sitting there is no server for that area. Let management serve him.

Font - thedudeabidesOG. 1 day ago The staff needs to tell management that they refuse to serve this clown. He's costing them business instead of helping.
