Font - After 4 years and $4 worth of raises from my current employer, I'm going back to college to persue an advanced degree in what im passionate about. This company is awful and therefore has a ridiculously high turnover rate. HR and management was not happy to hear I was leaving. They bluntly demanded a letter of resignation so I sent them this as a 2 weeks notice. I would burn bridges, but letters of reference are critical in my area..

Font - ShrimpMaster2000 OP. 4 days ago Hi. First off, holy --I did NOT expect to come back to this many responses! Second, I absolutely did send this to my boss and HR. My boss pretty much immediately emailed me a "LOL nice". My boss is cool, though. They were one of my recommenders for grad school. No response from HR yet. I was kinda hoping for something juicy, but there's still time, and maybe they'll see this post too XD.

Font - I'll put up an update if anything interesting happens. To the people saying that this 2 week notice IS burning bridges, it isn't. I'm in good standing with my boss--that's all that matters. Finally, lots of peeps have shared links to the template, but in case you don't feel like searching: https://www.drevio.com/fre e-shrek-invitation-templates The font is called "Jokerman" on Microsoft Word. Stay shrexy, y'all ;) 445 Reply Share

Font - dj_chino_da_3rd . 5 days ago My old job thought I was kidding when I put my two weeks in. Then when I did, the brand new manager really thought he had pull on me when he asked me to take it back. Managers are so up their own they can't even see how wrong they are 1.6k Reply Share

Font - vearson26 5 days ago What's sad is, $4 in raises over 4 years would be by far my biggest raises ever. My last job, my final raise was $2 a day, so about 20 cents hour. 434 Reply Share

Font - Irwae 5 days ago. . edited 4 days ago That's a bold move, you're a genius! When I left my last position because of bad management, bad income and a good new opportunity, they were pissed I wanted to quit to the point they became disrespectful. One of my bosses even stopped talking to me at all. I was also asked to send a formal letter of resignation. I felt funny and clever because I used their branded paper and envelope for the notice. I wish I sent a similar letter to yours instead so m

Font - F Tigermasterdude 5 days ago . 20 years ago I used to work in a call centre for British Gas. Hated it. Found another job and went to the HR office and told them I was resigning, they said they needed a letter, so I took scrap paper from a tray the lady had on her desk, borrowed a pen and wrote 'I resign,' signed and dated it. She wasn't happy and argued that it needed more, "like what?" She couldn't think of anything before blurting out "you need to give a reason." I took my note back and
