Font - Boss changed my off days with 2 days notice. For the past 6 months, my off days have been Sat and Sun. Before that it was Sun Mon. My boss told me on the 28th, that starting July, my schedule would revert back to Sun Mon. I told her I couldn't as I have another job during the weekends. She got mad and said

Font - "Ok. I understand you have you another job. We need to talk in person moving forward and with signing paper next time, if you saying you don't remember. It's my bad to trust people without signings paper. Next time I will keep in mind. I can not promise keep you Monday through Friday if you can not back to what was your schedule as we agreed was temporary. I will let you know about it when I'm done with July schedule. Thank you."

Font - We stopped talking after this text. The temporary thing is a single text 6 months ago to my question "so sat sun are my days off now?" Actual text "yeah temporary, but maybe permanent"

Font - I found out today that my schedule had indeed been changed. We did not talk in person and she didn't let me know. I found out today after I got a bunch of calls and messages asking me where I was. What do yall think of this situation? Was I the hole here?

Font - Imo, I let her know that I couldn't work Sat Sun. I explained why. It is of her to just change my schedule willy nilly, whenever she wants. Am I just supposed to do nothing Sat Sun on the chance that my off days could get changed based on a single text 6 months ago. Also, I have been working at this job for 3+ years and never had any problems. I have good work ethic and always make sure I do what I'm supposed to.

Font - Das Bleu 23 hr. ago What state do you live in? I'd re-read your handbook if you have one. Most jobs I worked have a clause that says if it's within a certain time period and the schedule is set, the manager is responsible for notifying the employee of changes. For example when I worked retail, my managers (the good ones) had the schedule out by Thursday and if they changed it before Sunday they had to tell us. At my current job (Because union) Once it's in the scheduling software the mana

Font - Ninja-Panda86 1 day ago . I wasn't quite following. If it was your first job so to speak, you should let them know what your availability is. That sat-sun are not available but it's none of their business WHY. UNLESS you signed a contrast specifically stating that your first job is your priority job and that you will revolve your schedule around them. Believe it or not, I've signed contracts like this, but the place had to offer me great benefits and great pay for such loyalty.

Font - If they changed your schedule without telling you ahead of time, and then messaged later to on you - that is bulls Given how your boss is reacting to you, and how they were mad you got a second job, I suspect they are doing this on purpose so they have evidence to "fire you" for "not showing up" when really they are moving your schedule in such a way to make it difficult for you to show up on time.

Font - stitchup55 20 hr. ago Companies used to be able to do these things and employees didn't mind so much because they made a livable wage. But they sure as need to either start fessing up the money of shut the up and expect employees for be so flexible now dayd

Font - 18k_gold 19 hr. ago You're not wrong but she did say it might only be temporary but only 2 days notice isn't enough time to adjust your life. Maybe you can tell her you can go back to sun and Mon off in Aug if that works for you.

Font - ibecheshirecat86 - 17 hr. ago Yeaahhh... you mentioned you had another job that you worked on your days off. It looks to me like she gave you the opportunity to pick up more shifts at the second job.

Font - This will go one of two ways, either you are gonna be terminated or she is gonna switch your days back... if she does the latter you should totally tell her that you are now unavailable as you have picked up extra days at the job that isnt trying to around and find out...
