You have to be a certain kind of person to enjoy the dating game. Most of the individuals who use dating apps are not that kind of person, and the ones that are only serve to annoy everybody else, most of the time.
The unwelcome and harsh truth is that no matter what your dating goals are, you have to be secure in yourself to execute them successfully. This is difficult when low self esteem is the common uniting factor of so many single people who are looking for a relationship. At the same time, lots of them are also insanely entitled as well.
It's a toxic mix, and places like Hinge bring it out with a fervor. There is nothing wrong with keeping standards high and a tolerance for misbehavior low, but it can easily be taken too far. It's no wonder some people just swear off dating altogether.
