Welcome to 2023, where we're all (hopefully) in therapy and trying to escape the mismanagement of late-stage capitalism. How do we not only survive, but thrive during these unprecedented times? Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but I sure survive through memes. But what does that really mean anyways? It means that mental health should be a top priority in your life. How did we get mental health from memes? Because memes are both a great source for escapism, which we all need a break from reality to recharge every now and then. They usually give us a good LOL, and laughter is the best medicine, after all. Aaaaand, they're a great and easy way to simplify and help express some of your most intimate feelings. Oh you're having dark dark thoughts? The 'guess I'll d!e" meme knows exactly how you feel. Share that with a friend and they've got your back. I don't know, maybe that's just a millennial and/or Gen Z thing, but I think memes are pretty powerful. Why have "hang in there" cat poster when you can have a meme that encourages you to say no to peace and say yes to "ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!"?
