One of the trickiest parts of being a parent is teaching your tween how to care for themselves. Sure, they already know how to shower and brush their teeth, but that's easy. The hard part is getting them to smell like a human being and not a toxic waste dump of chemicals or body odor. When I was a tween, I was obsessed with dousing my entire body in perfume, so I didn't smell like B.O. This worked a little too well because my trombone teacher would always cough and sneeze when I went into the practice room because I was doused in cheap Bath and Body Work fragrances. He said it smelled good, but I know it was only a slight improvement on the scent of the tween-boy trombone players.
