The word standards in dating has so much controversy. To some, standards for a partner are subjective to the physical and are cruel to have, as they weed out many potential partners with amazing personalities. If you ask your friends, somewhere on their phones you could even find a list of standards that a partner MUST have. That might be the extreme, but at least these ladies know what they're looking for. 

At the same time, ruling people out could lead to fewer opportunities to find love. Then at the other end of the spectrum, there are the incredibly low standards that allow people to get hurt too easily. On some level, we all need to be looking out for ourselves and protecting our hearts. You should never be running around with people that aren't worthy of you! 

So now when someone asks you your "type" consider if you really have such specific expectations or if you simply find this image of a person attractive. Sometimes we don't end up with our exact type and THAT IS OKAY! It's good to reflect on your standards and make sure they are reasonable. Further, standards shift and change as you grow! Don't expect them to stay the same forever!
