There are some people in this world who would save themselves a whole lot of embarrassment if they just didn't have phones. Today, we're talking about the technologically incompetent folks who accidentally send the wrong message to the wrong person. These are the people who accidentally spoil surprises or reveal their true feelings to the very person they are insulting. We feel that this is a relatively common phenomenon that we can discuss freely and openly, especially considering that yours truly has been one of these unfortunate individuals.
In fact, this kind of situation has happened to me several times, and I truly have no one to blame but myself. First, there was that time I sent a picture of someone I had gone on a date with to that person rather to the friend with whom I was gossiping. Fortunately, this was flattering to the person; unfortunately, there was really no way to explain myself out of what I had done. Next, there was the time I was getting brunch with a difficult acquaintance and was complaining about my upcoming obligatory interaction with this person to my friends. Except I wasn't messaging my friends because, as it turns out, I was messaging the acquaintance directly. I still shudder at this memory.
This thread, however, details a far more frightening story because the person who wasn't supposed to receive the message (or in this case, the photograph) was the Redditor's boss. Imagine trying to talk yourself out of this one, folks! It couldn't have been easy. Keep scrolling below to learn about the fallout and what happened next. For more stories like this, here's another post about an employee who was fired because they were "too expensive."
