Font - Kangaroo Karen goes ballistic every time she comes into my work. Karen So I work in a small locally owned Pet Shop geared mostly towards Cat / Dog food and toys. A few weeks ago I was ringing out a regular customer whom I've come to build a good relationship with,

Font - when all of the sudden I hear the crackling voice of a boomer Karen yelling from across the store "YOU SALE KANGAROO? YOU'RE DISGUSTING." The customer I was helping literally dropped her jaw and gave me the "Is she serious?"

Font - look. I asked the Karen if she could wait until I'm done with my customer for her to scold me. She gets up to the register and immediately asks for a manager so she can complain that we sell Kangaroo dog food then proceeded to give me this entire speil about how unethical it is to sale. I told her she'd have to walk across the street to complain as we're just a branch off of a local

Font - grocery store. She told me she wouldn't be shopping with us until we stopped selling the Kangaroo dog food, to which I just replied "Right on." Yet she has come back in a few more times and each time she goes ballistic on whoever's working because it's obviously our fault the "Kangaroos are being and ground into dog feed" as she puts it. Each time she raises her voice and makes a whole scene about it. I just can't imagine taking out my opposition of something on members of the service ind

Font - I'm opposed of. This woman also ran for City Council a while back and is always about town raising Oover something. I hope I catch her giving a speech out in public sometime so I can call her on her abusive behavior towards service industry workers. She's now known as the Kangaroo Karen amongst the staff.

Font - Brewery Food Male Karen My girlfriend and I are at one of our favorite breweries having a laid back drink on a Sunday in their outside area while eating a pizza from their outside area pizza spot. This pizza spot is a special side spot with their own little oven for their larger restaurant about 2 miles away which is their brick and mortar restaurant and just collaborates with the brewery.

Font - This male Karen sternly walks out and asks the two staff workers who are young and respectful but doesn't take from anyone, if his food is ready.
  • 08
Font - We're only sitting a few feet away so we have front row view to everything that's happening. The staff says that they currently don't have any orders pending and he smugly shows his phone with this ToastTab order. The kid tells Male Karen that that's their main restaurant up the street and that he'll have to pick it up there. Male

Font - Karen is outraged and says that they should just make it because they're the same company and the staff tells him that's not how it works. He then proceeds to ask to speak to the manager and they said to call the restaurant where he placed his order because that's where their manager is at. Male Karen tells the staff to cancel the order and the staff tells him they can't do anything with his order because it didn't go to them and tells him to call the restaurant.

Font - He begs them to just make the order and the staff tells him half his order is salads and other items that they don't even make since they only make pizza.

Font - Karen is still outraged. By this time he very well could've just gone to the restaurant and picked up the food. Karen just stands there, staring. Seeing if that will make any difference. The staff ignores him. He yells "C this!" and runs back to the inside of the brewery. Ten minutes later I see him get into his car and screeches his tires in the direction of the restaurant. He comes back with an armful of food and you can tell he's extra because he lost his rockstar parking spot and had

Font - Cell service male Karen An exchange with a customer from today. I work for a major cell service in the States. Accidents like missing phones happen. This Karen had already told me that he'd been through the process of finding out what happened before he entered the store

Font - Customer: I returned a phone for a credit and still haven't received the credits after several months Me: Gotcha. Unfortunately manager codes are necessary to access the status information of the phone you turned in, and there is no manager in store today. Up the street is another corporate store with management that can help you, or you can come in tomorrow when there is management.

Font - Customer: I don't want to go to another store, i came here and i want it resolved here Me: As i told you, there is no one with the credentials to give you that information here Customer: Then call the other store and have their manager solve this over the phone for me Me: If you're looking for help from the other management then you'll have to go to that location. They don't have access to log in to another store Customer: I

Font - don't want to go all the way across town [read: Two miles] to another store to get this solved Me: Then we're at an impasse Customer: So you're trying me you're refusing to help me? Me: No, I'm telling you the extent to which i can help you, based on these particular parameters Customer: What's your name? Me: You don't have a right to my name Customer: What's your manager's name? Me: gives name Customer: Begins notating my tattoos and my physical appearance Me: I'm going to have to ask yo

Font - Several minutes later Co-worker: receives phone call from nearby store Hey man (to me) the other store says that guy came in. They solved his problem. And they still had to kick him out, too I get that the situation , dude. But you're not gonna get anywhere by being vaguely threatening and obstinate

Font - Wendy's Karen Taco bell Karen reminded me of this story. Some years ago, I had one of those late night cravings for a cheeseburger, specifically a Wendy's cheeseburger and went out to get one. Pulled into the drive through and it was surprisingly long for like 9 or 10 pm but not terrible enough to leave. So I'm waiting and five minutes pass, ten minutes, and we still haven't moved. Eventually we move a little forward from other cars deciding the wait isn't worth it, but I decided to stay.

Font - eventually we move enough that I can more clearly see the issue. An SUV had been at the speaker for a good solid 15 minutes placing their order. They finally finish and pull forward. I'm about to order when the car that was holding everyone up gets to the window that gives them their food and they proceed to talk at the window for several minutes with a lot of hand waving.
  • 19
Font - No idea what was said, but I favor the Wendy's in this scenario because this particular location has always given me excellent service. Eventually hand waving ends and they drive off...only to pull into one of the parking places.

Font - I've placed my order and am about to pull forward when Karen gets out of her SUV, cuts off the car in front of me, and starts yelling at the window. She is doing a whole lot of hand/arm waving and yelling. I'm not entirely sure what she is yelling as I had my window rolled up, not wanting to hear the woman screech, but she is making a really big fuss. Eventually I think someone from the line yelled at her for holding everyone up so long (I mean it's fast food, what do you expect, plus we
