This boss is competing in the petty Olympics with the way she treated her employee during their final weeks at the job.

One of the easiest ways to pinpoint if somewhere is a good place to work or not is to look at the employee turnover rates. That's easier said than done before you get a job. But when you start asking around and everyone seems to have started less than six months ago, the warning sirens in your head might start to go off. This person shares that at their previous place of employment, the boss went through five overnight workers in just nine months!

U/un_commonwealth wrote in with a strange question, and later gave an update. They wanted to know what they should do if their boss continually ignored their two-week quitting notice. The OP did their due diligence by telling their boss that they'd be quitting via a letter. They know their boss saw the letter, and yet she didn't say a word about the OP's imminent departure. I guess when you work somewhere with such high turnover, you don't get attached to employees… but this boss is still wildly petty for just avoiding the topic entirely.
