When working retail, one of the most difficult things is dealing with customers... It's often said that we remember bad things better than the good and, with customers, that's certainly the case. You'll always remember the terrible interactions you had with customers—the times that someone was beet red and screaming an inch away from your face with little specks of spittle flying everywhere—meanwhile, the good, pleasant, everyday sort of interactions you have with customers will pale in comparison, occupying far smaller of space in your mind. Though this is true, having a customer stand up for you against your tyrannical boss is an experience that you're going to remember well.
