It must take a lot for a call center rep to call a conversation their "best call ever." These call center workers deal with cranky customers all day long, 40 hours per week, and that's basically their entire job. Not every customer will call up already frothing at the mouth with anger… but a lot of them will, and they're ready to blame the poor customer service reps for everything that's gone wrong.
Some folks are under the incorrect assumption that if you're loud, you're right. If the call center rep is telling you to hit the power button to turn on your computer, and you scream back that you already tried it, you're not helping them help you. You're just being "that guy," the customer that the rep is going to laugh about with their colleagues the minute you hang up the phone. Be warned! These days, if you're loud, you're necessarily not right — you're just getting made fun of.
Forget about all those negative calls for a moment though. U/Combrudenn shared the story of their favorite call. Interestingly, in the comments, some people sided with the scorned wife, while others thought it was odd that she was able to do such a thing without her husband's permission. We can see both sides of the argument. It really comes down to cultural differences, since this is apparently a perfectly normal practice in the UK.
