Kids get a bad reputation in the service industry. However, anyone who has ever worked at a family restaurant know the truth—it's always the parents. Kids will be kids, we all know that, and it's up to the parents or guardians to teach their kids how to behave. So when an adult allows their tiny human to run around a restaurant like it's their personal playroom, of course everyone working there is going to be annoyed. Other than the fact that it's a real danger for your kid to be doing that while there are adults carrying around heavy and hot items that they could slam into, it's also just bad manners.
Luckily, there are parents out there who have taught their children the proper edict for dinning out. These kids are the ones who grow up knowing to be respectful to their servers, how to calculate at least a 20% tip, and how to be patient. These are ideal characteristic for a good customer-server interaction. One server on Reddit recently shared a wholesome interaction they had with a couple of kids, around 10 or 11 years old, at her job. They paid in all quarters, but they were very respectful and patient.
