There is no story that breaks our hearts more than hearing about an owner abandon their pet. We can't relate to it, we can't understand it, it seems… cruel to us, especially after they have been together for a long time. Our cat is part of our family, we can't imagine letting go of it under any circumstances. But what we can understand is that this new cat owner is going through. After being abandoned by its owner, this sweet cat chose a human and followed them home. And now that this cat is here, the new owner and their roommate are wondering what can they do to make this cat happy.

It's one thing to adopt a kitty cat, but it's a whole other thing to adopt a cat that has been abandoned by its previous owner. We can only imagine the confusion and distrust that this cat feels, and the desire that the new owner feels to make this cat as happy as possible.
