People who say, "Your pets aren't anything like children" have clearly never had to pay for vet visits that we have. At least with a kid, they can more or less explain what they are feeling. For us, if we see our beautiful fur babies acting strangely, we have no choice but to take them to the vet because they can't tell us what's wrong. Sometimes our worries work in our favor, and other times, well, other times we pay a lot of money just to be told our doggo has gas.
