This former employee refused to go quietly. Unfortunately, he was let go after just six weeks at the company due to sudden mid-quarter layoffs. That meant with such little time at the company, he would not be able to put this on his resume as such a brief stint there most certainly would raise eyebrows rather than help him find work elsewhere. This, along with poor management and a toxic work environment, led him to ensure that his final acts would be petty.
When he was asked to return his work-from-home equipment, he requested to ship them rather than show up anywhere in person. His boss agreed. However, what his boss did not yet realize was that this dude was going to make sure it was the most expensive delivery possible on the company's dime. That meant separate boxes for each item, pricey expedited shipping, etc. When the former employee, who shared his story via Reddit's r/pettyrevenge subreddit, explained what he was doing, the FedEx worker joined in on the fun.
