Health insurance can be expensive. While many of us have spent at least a short stint of our lives wondering how we're going to pay for healthcare, it's usually not in our first few months on earth.     I was doing some research and apparently my son qualifies for medicaid because I was on pregnancy medicaid and I never would have known had my HRD not denied my request. So now his insurance is free and my employer is out over $200 a month. I've been getting emails from HRD asking if we got the birth certificate yet even though it's passed the 30 days. Too late. Thanks for not caring about your employees at all

    Ryan1869 4 hr. ago That's crazy, all I needed to get my daughter added to my work insurance was her full name. The insurance company eventually needed an SSN once we got her card, we just sent them a form they mailed us.

    newsy0011 4 hr. ago edited 3 hr. ago HR is wrong. They need proof of live birth, doesn't need to be the official birth certificate. Hospitals provide their own birth certificate that would suffice. Go above HR if you have to.
