‘Why aren’t you at home cooking for your husband?’: Women in Tech Discuss Uncalled For Comments They Faced in the Workplace

Welcome back queens of the internet. Women in the workforce is by no means a new concept. Due to World War II and the draft of men to the army, women have been required to make ends meet without their husbands for decades now. Think of the ever-so iconic Rosie the Riveter poster, yeah we can do it. From housewifing, to factory work like sewing, clothes making, or being saleswomen, we've grown a long way. As for many jobs that are stereotypically male-dominated, women still face a gross underappreciation of their time and effort. 

Women in tech have been struggling for years; whether you work with computers, engineering, or manual labor, women have been sexualized, denigrated, and doubted for their brains, boldness, and brazen behavior that shot them to the top, despite resistance. Women collect their thoughts on the internet to gripe, vent, and rant about the unfair treatment in a workplace.
