'His spirit is broken': Overprotective Father Forbids Daughters From Interacting With Boys, Eldest Daughter Accuses Him of "Turning Her Gay" In Attempt To Save Her Sisters
We're not a dad (yet) Cheezecakers, but we can imagine how difficult it is to be a parent. Kids don't come with an instruction manual, and we parent the way we were taught to parent, which sometimes, is not always the best way. This overprotective father forbade his daughters from wearing girly clothes, interacting with boys (including having male friends), following boys/men on social media, etc. The oldest daughter came out to her parents, and her dad especially did not take it well.
She snapped at him. She accused him of making her a lesbian by forcing her to grow up around women and dress like a tomboy. She later goes on to explain that she knows he didn't actually do it, that after some therapy she realized she was always this way, but she feels bad about exploding at her dad.
