Welcome back women and mothers of the internet. It's not easy being you. You've been with this person (your husband) for a lifetime (or so it seems). With marriage, things like passion and the feeling of being 'in love' can come and go like the tides. Only you and your partner know all the business you've had to go through together, and you're stronger for all of that. You admire seeing young couples in love still in their first year of the relationship. 'Oh they look like how we used to be,' you say to your husband. 

But there's a wisdom and strength that comes from the longevity of being together for such a long time. Your love for each other hasn't, in fact, dwindled. Passion isn't love, and being 'drunk' with love is also a version of infatuation. So though there aren't butterflies and sparks at every moment, there's a wholeness that is grounded and just as exciting, freeing, and loving.
