Parents Demand Son Put Off Wedding Until Sister Marries, Brother Refuses, and Family Cuts Off Relations with the Couple

A marriage is a partnership of two people that honors family, love, togetherness, and commitment. So why might a marriage cast a shadow over a family that was previously seen to be happy?

The story below is the account of a frustrated son. The original poster (OP) had just tied the knot. Instead of his impending marriage functioning as a symbol of love and family, the union severely harmed the ties within the family. OP makes it apparent that none of his family members attended his wedding as they were opposed to the union. They believed that since OP's younger sister hadn't married yet, he should postpone the wedding.
