To sleep train or not to sleep train? That is a question millions of moms have pondered over the past couple of decades, and it's not an easy one. If my Instagram reels are any indication of the parenting trends of today, most contemporary mothers believe sleep training is incredibly harmful and should not be done under any circumstances. I'm not a parent myself, but I think there has to be a middle ground between "my 4-week-old cries himself to sleep every night so I don't spoil him" and "my 3-year-old will sleep in the same bed with me for his entire childhood, and I won't stop breastfeeding until he chooses to." Kids have a lot of needs when they're little, but that doesn't mean that you're a bad parent if you let them cry it out a couple of times.
