'The groom had HELP ME painted on the soles of his shoes': Woman Recounts A Wedding That Was A Disaster From Beginning to End
A wedding is a very special celebration of the union between two individuals. It's their day. All of the attention is on the couple; they invite the specific people they want to celebrate with, they pick out the wedding colors and venue, and they choose which music they get to dance to. If they want to play heavy metal at their wedding because they're metal heads, then, by golly, they should! But wedding receptions are, at their core, parties hosted by the couple, and a good party needs a good host who can plan well in advance to make sure that the guests are comfortable and have a good time so they can properly and joyfully celebrate. Even the hardest of metal heads would throw in some more well-known and danceable songs for their wedding guests if they are thoughtful hosts. A bad wedding really comes down to bad planning on the part of couples that fail to understand that their guests are humans that want to enjoy a wedding, not endure a wedding.
Our protagonist in today's story recounts a wedding that was unpleasant to its guests from start to finish. Read below for her full retelling of an evening that just kept getting worse and worse.
