This landlord has never heard of the word "boundaries" before. He insists on bothering his tenant constantly! I think for most of us, we only want to see our landlords if they're installing a new light bulb or fixing a leaky ceiling. We certainly wouldn't want a landlord popping over to visit every few days. It's a business relationship, so why does this landlord keep pushing his tenant into uncomfortable scenarios?
U/nuclear_wizard_'s landlord just seems kind of confused and immature. For some reason, he rented the unit to this person, but he thinks he can just take back that apartment whenever the need arises. Sure, your kids might need a place to live, but you can't just tell your tenant to skedaddle! That's their home, you can't just expect them to be giddy with glee when you demand they move. The landlord almost seemed surprised when this person started talking about leasing contracts, as if he just expected that person to give up their home without a fight.
Next up, this micromanager was pushing his staff so hard that he caused his staff to "mutually agree to give this person exactly what they asked for" as a bunch of them quit en masse.
