Please, don't be that parent at the kids' softball game who's flipping out over the game. It's not that serious, my friend. The kids who are here just want to play the game, hang out with their friends, and celebrate a win or two. Although every parent wants to believe their kid is going to be a star athlete, 99% of the children playing on a kids' sports league aren't going to go pro any time soon. Some of the young people are just there to hang with their friends, and most probably don't take it that seriously at all.
Unfortunately, there are always a few parents who can't handle it when their child doesn't win a game. They're the parent who's starting a loud argument with the referee while all the kids are having orange slices and putting away their gear. It's that parent who isn't sitting in a folding chair on the sideline with the other parents, but is instead hollering at the referee that their kid wasn't out of bounds.
This person, u/theenigma31680, shared that their daughter is in a softball league for 8-year-olds, and that there is one parent who can't stop badgering the referee. (In an interesting comment after the post, this person noted that the ref only made about $15 for the game: she really does seem to be refereeing out of love for the game, or love for the kids.) You can check out the full tale down below.
