Finally, a bad manager getting the karma he deserves. This manager made such a wrong call that he nearly cost the company 200 thousand dollars. Ouch. At the company, a particular manager is a real stickler for the rules and has always had it out for one particular employee. After firing him under trivial circumstances, what the manager didn't know was that this employee was responsible for a very expensive piece of software for which he was the only one at the company with a license to. Well, when the big boss man was out on a two-month-long vacation (cries in PTO), the very important employee was terminated, and his laptop was taken. Let's just say when word got to the CEO, he was not happy. All he could do at this point was offer the terminated employee his job back. And boy, did the terminated employee have leverage.
