A particular generation of men had kids and never did a single hands-on thing for them. Their wives were the ones who had to change every diaper, run every bath, dress, and feed their kids during the first few years of their lives. You would think that fathers today are much more involved, and you'd be correct. Millennial dads are, by and large, much more engaged in the nitty-gritty of parenting than the generations before them. The problem is that the generations before millennials still have kids, and they're carrying their old-fashioned values into the 2020s.
One mother of a 4-month-old shared her story on Reddit, and it's so very tragic. Her husband, a father of 4 grown children, refuses to help with the baby while she's struggling to keep it together. One day, she left him with his son for 15 minutes, and he could not even handle that.
