When it comes to attention-seeking behavior on social media, we all know at least one person who can't get enough of it.
From the very infancy of Facebook to the current day TikTok and Instagram trends, some folks are just addicted to posting. They make friends online, gain a huge following of fans, or make content that goes viral. But Rome was not built in a day, and a social media account won't get a viral hit until it's posted dozens of posts that flopped first.
These people have realized the ways to get the most attention often target their audience's emotions. Some people will write all about how loving their partner is, naming examples, and sharing dozens of photos, expecting people to comment positive things on the post. Others do the opposite, participating in "vaguebooking." That's where you post something vague like, "I'm in the hospital, don't message me," on your public forum. Then you wait for the "Hope you're okay!" and "What happened?" messages to roll in. You can check out these and the other examples people had of the most attention-seeking behaviors on the internet these days.
