Bosses shouldn't be able to say anything they want without repercussions from their underlings.
The verbiage they decide to use should influence the way the company runs, how the employees do their work, and what type of output the employees are producing. Without the fellas under them, the company wouldn't exist. If a boss decides they want to fire you one day, then try to backtrack on that heated thought, it shouldn't be the employee's problem. They said what they said! Now reap what you sow, Mr. Boss Man.
The employee in this story expresses that his boss is not a cool guy and his paychecks have bounced before. The boss is never in the office, comes and goes as he pleases, and expects the original poster (OP) to pick up the slack. The OP confides in his boss's friend and his own divorce attorney about the "unethical and shady things" the boss has been up to. The attorney offers the OP a position if things go awry.
Needless to say, the boss was very unhappy about this in addition to the company seemingly going under, and told him to find another job. Even when the boss tries to take it back, the OP gives him a taste of his own medicine. Scroll to read the entire story.
