Welcome back art aficionados. Love and dating is consistently a point of contention for most people. Everyone has their red flags, their green flags, and their own salient opinions about the matter. In modern times, the contention is getting further and further apart, where opinions are strikingly on opposite sides of the spectrum. In medieval times, though life was simpler, people still experienced the onus of love, dating, and relationships.
Even for valiant knights in shining armor and medieval maidens, no one knew what they were doing to pursue love. At least back in those times, everyone had an agreed upon version of what dating looked like. It was a man pursuing a woman, and there was little room for confusion about if they liked you or not. I don't envy the medical options back in those times, but I do envy the simplicity around love and dating. Maybe there's wisdom we can glean from those days.
