Pulp Fiction is 30 years old, but it feels like it hasn't aged a day! It's still as entertaining, wild, and clever as it was when it first came out in 1994. I remember going to the movies with my friends, intending to see a different film (probably Ace Ventura: Pet Detective), but since there were no tickets available, we had to settle on Pulp Fiction. I went in not knowing anything about the movie, and I came out transformed. I had no idea cinema could be that.
The way Tarantino told the story, the way he shot the film, the sharpness of his dialogue—it changed me forever. Suddenly, I saw a completely new way of telling stories. Since then, I've written several TV shows and two books, and I honestly don't think I would have done that without being so completely overwhelmed by Pulp Fiction and Tarantino's incredible talent.
