What is it about the fall season that gets our romantic self to emerge, seeking a partner to cuddle with in front of the TV? Of course, the usual suspects are the cold weather (no oven is as warm as your partner's behind, moving uncomfortably with your feet under it!), the dramatic color of the leaves (aww! Shaped like a heart!), and the constant reruns of Gilmore Girls. This show has rebranded Autumn in a way no show has ever done before.
But it's more than that. It's not a coincidence that the act of infatuation is called falling in love - it's right there in the title! Fall is such a crazy, unanticipated, and thrilling period—it is just the right scenery to lose your head and fall. Literally to fall, that is. Puddles can do that.
And not only us hoomans fall during fall. It seems like nature is getting its aww rate up as well, as you can see in the following fantastic photos of furry fondness, or the flirty, pheromone-fueled gazes sent by the single fellas. True, they're not all monogamists, and perhaps nature's got its ideas regarding the do's and don'ts of the love game, but these photos prove they definitely know how to cuddle.
What can we say? That's the epitome of autumnal affection. Finding someone to cuddle with sluggishly, surrounded by a lot of yummy sweets. Life goal, or what?
Not everyone has met their second half just yet, but this crocodile, with its fall look, can teach a lesson in flirtatious glances!
