The ‘Get them banned’ lady, real name Kendall Toole, was forced to take action in the video that made her into a meme after somebody joined her Peloton class with a username that contained a slur. In response to this transgression, she gave a short speech about how this behavior was unacceptable and that she wasn't going to let it slide.
When this clip began getting popular, fans of the meme inevitably started digging into her back catalog and found that she was just as engaging when she wasn't publicly scolding people, sharing a love of the song Levels by Avicii, and encouraging people to keep going with her challenging workouts. She has already spoken up about her sudden fame, claiming that she had “Never been so proud to have said this in my life."

Every excerpt that surfaces from her classes suggests that Toole is the archetypal upbeat yet strict fitness instructor, and that is exactly the kind of energy that a certain kind of meme consumer wants to welcome into their life right now. We are moving on from the wholesome, gentle encouragement that came from the Hopecore movement, which reminded us of the reasons that life is worth living; we already know that, and now we need an attractive and shredded blond woman who makes us deliver on that attitude. While the habit of doomscrolling has a tendency to make us less than motivated, it does occasionally expose us to something that reminds us to get out of our heads and off our screens for a bit (all while quoting the meme that made it happen).
As with many who find themselves in the viral spotlight, it is possible that the internet may find out something disappointing about Toole that prompts a backlash, AKA the ‘milkshake duck’ treatment. For the time being, however, the sheer aura she emanates while on a stationary bicycle is enough to fire up even the most pessimistic among the chronically online.
