We don't know about you, but we are one of those people who… when we see an animal, we kind of want to do everything that is humanly possible to pet that animal. You know, like that person who came across a wild lynx and decided to befriend it, or that diver who helped an octopus move a piece of wood that was bothering it and made a new friend or like that person who constantly rescues dogs and writes about it on twitter who we are obsessed with. We don't want to bother the animals, of course, and we will approach very softly and gently, but we will pet them. Or do everything in our power to try.
And we thought that no job in the world could really help us channel this feeling, this need to pet everything that moves, but… we think we might have been wrong. Because if these photos of animals interrupting wildlife photographers are an indication of what that job is actually like, then we might be in the wrong field right now.
For real, when we think of wildlife photographers, we tend to think about those documentaries of them hiding in strange spots, hiding from danger as they try to capture pictures of polar bears. We do not think of cute deer climbing on their backs and becoming their friends.
We do not think of adorable foxes coming to sniff their cameras. This is our dream. We want this. Not all the danger and camping part of it. Just the cute animals being as curious about us as we are about them.
