The holidays bring out the worst in our families. As many of us realize, a once-a-year gathering every season is sometimes juuuust enough group social gathering to last us until next year's family party, but for this two-faced mother-in-law, even the bare minimum interaction with her step-kids was enough. 

After years of enduring their MIL's cruel punishment for their mere existence, u/GunmetalMimzy and her brother had happily cut the woman out of their life. Except, every season at the family business held a company party that all would attend. Normally they'd grit their teeth and bear the interactions with their MIL, who was constantly backing out of plans and throwing them under the bus, they finally brewed up a plan to catch her in her flimsy excuses and expose her true self.
