Ah yes, the manchild. A timeless archetype. You know the type—the one who thinks doing the dishes once a month deserves a standing ovation, or that laundry just magically folds itself. We're in the 21st century, and yet, there are still men out there who genuinely believe their partner should double as their personal assistant, chef, therapist, and a calendar reminder for their mom's birthday.

For women, especially those who fall into relationships in their early 20s, it's easy to slide into this trap. You love him, you're emotionally attached, and next thing you know, you're booking his dentist appointments and buying socks for his dad. It's not cute, and it's definitely not sustainable. The wake-up call usually comes after a breakup when you realize just how much you were doing. And let me tell you, once you see it, you can't unsee it. The good news is you learn. You set boundaries. You make a mental note to never, ever let a man turn you into his unpaid secretary again…
